• 4-Hit Day for Van Ingen Earns Giants JH1 Victory Over HCAW J1

    Kai Van Ingen came to ballpark and meant business on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Giants JH1 to a 23-6 win over HCAW J1. Van Ingen singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and singled in the fifth.

    Both offenses were strong at the plate as Giants JH1 collected 18 hits and HCAW J1 four in the high-scoring affair

    In the first inning, Giants JH1 got their offense started when Scott Wolters singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

    Giants JH1 notched nine runs in the fourth inning. Giants JH1 put the pressure on, lead by walks by Justin Vossebeld and Wolters, singles by Jordi Schrage and Hugo Rijkenhuizen, and doubles by Van Ingen and Stefan Vlutters.

    Jasper Kappen was the winning pitcher for Giants JH1. The hurler went one inning, allowing one run on zero hits, striking out two and walking zero. Wolters threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

    Bart S toed the rubber for HCAW J1. The hurler allowed seven hits and nine runs over three innings, striking out five. Karym B threw two innings in relief.

    Fabio Hildebrand started the game for Giants JH1. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out two

    Giants JH1 tallied 18 hits in the game. Van Ingen, Wolters, Hildebrand, Schrage, Rijkenhuizen, Yoeri Karg, and Vlutters each managed multiple hits for Giants JH1. Van Ingen went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Giants JH1 in hits.

    Karym led HCAW J1 with two hits in three at bats.
